The Krauss Maffei V300 test locomotive as M61,2001 for MÁV, operating at Keszthely station in 1960. It did test runs between Keszthely and Budapest with fast trains. Output: 2X1100 kW, transmission: hydrodynamic. Wheel arrangement C'C' (difference from V200 series of DB). However this locomotive was not purchased by MÁV, they chose the NOHAB locomotive. Only 3 units of V300 were sold to JZ (Yugoslavia) for government trains.
