Currently the server database in under construction so no information available.
The current server: IBM RS/6000 model 41T started to work. The first release of the Homepage. This was similar to the picture directory of the Mercurio Rail server. This was the experimental stage of the server.
1st Feb 1996.The "official" registration of the server at the Mecurio by Marco van Uden. This is the start of the "real" service. List of documents: Homepage, Technical data, MÁV information, Club information pages.
2nd Feruary 1996.The first acces to the server from abroad:

The main documents were rearranged. The signal and the sign descriptions were added.
19-20th February 1996.Additions to the technical data of the M47 and M32 diesel engines and V46 electric engine. I got the picture of the M42 prototype engine from Péter Werner Gróh. Some modification on the Club's page. Scanning the old newspaper article about the V63 class engines.
27th February 1996.The engine database from György Juhász and the search engine started to work for internal use only.
26th February 1996.First unofficial meeting with György Juhász and Péter Szilva at the HA5KFU Radio Club.
1st March 1996V41 picture and technical data were added. V43 1201 was scanned. More addition were performed on the technical data, especially some more scheme were added.
11th March 1996.Minor, but very important changes in the tecnical terminology, thanks for János Erô Jr.
14th March 1996.The first extended meeting of the Gigant Club! This is the start of the new period in the history of the Gigant Club. New members joined us.
evening 20-21st March 1996.The WWW service stopped due to a server failure.
21st March 1996.László Balogh discovered the first 3 Gigants near the Keleti railway station.
22nd March 1996.The orituary was added.
25th March 1996.We got a lot of pictures from Mihály Óvári. Most of them has been added to the technical data pages.
26-27th March 1996.Many new pictures were scanned from György Juhász. I edited the "diesel story", from János Erô Jr. .
28-29th March 1996.

2nd April 1996.Meeting with János Erô Jr. We got a lot of pictures from him.
4st April 1996.Scanning... scanning... scanning... with György Juhász. Inserting pictures of János Erô.
11th April 1996.Meeting with János Erô Jr.. I got some very useful material on the English terms used for naming the parts of the loco. He showed us the modell of the V40 class electric locomotive and some interesting books.
19th April 1996"Season start" trip to home on Avala (No. 344) from Kôbánya-Kispest to Gyôr. This was the first time in this year, when the weather was good enough for a "Club Day". We saw 15 Gigants on a single day! (001, 002, 003, 007, 028, 035, 037, 138, 039, 144, 045, 048, 151, 153, 155)
24-25th April 1996Scanning some pictures from Werner. Good pictures of the retired V63 002. Making the server statistics AWK script. New technical pages of the old Hungarian electric locos and DMUs.
7th May 1996Scanning some schemes with Mihály Óvári.
8th May 1996Scanning with György Juhász. Meeting with Gábor Bejczi from Miskolc. Updates in technical data.
28th May 1996A wonderful trip to Tapolca, to discover the home of the NOHABs. We took many interesting photos there. Some measurement took place during the journey.
29th May 1996-1st June 1996 "NOHAB week" this was the last week, when the M61 class locomotives came to Budapest. (Now they are pulling trains to Székesfehérvár. We also took many many pictures.
2nd June 1996 Scanning the pictures of the last week...7th June 1996 My first trip on a GIGANT!!! V63 152 (brand new V63 1xx class locomotive) pull the Orient express (train No. 262).
11-13th June 1996 Major steps were taken to the new outfit of the WWW server.
18-19th June 1996 Adding new pictures and articles (NOHAB virtual tour, V63 152, BVhmot). Directory structure reorganization in the Gigant picture directory. Adding some new scheme to the technical pages (M61, M62, V63)
11-12th July 1996 The celebration of the 150th anniversary of the Hunagrian State Railways at Budapest-Angyalföld station. Gigant Club was there and we worked hard to obtain important pictures.
November 1996 Visit at the "Diesel-Gigant" (M63) at Északi Jármûjavító.
April 1997 Reorganisation and extension of the WWW server.
